The Band School - Acuity Scheduling Help Guide
Welcome to The Band School's booking system! We use Acuity Scheduling to make booking lessons easy. This guide will help you understand how to manage your bookings, access the mobile app, and make the most of your account.
1. Benefits of Creating an Account
By signing up for an account with Acuity Scheduling, you can:
View Appointments: Easily access all your past and upcoming lessons.
Manage Bookings: Reschedule or cancel lessons (if allowed by our policy).
Track Payments & Packages: Review any active package, gift certificate, or subscription codes.
Faster Booking: Your details will auto-fill when booking new lessons.
2. Managing Appointments Without an Account
If you don’t have an account, you can still manage your bookings using the confirmation links sent via email and text.
Rescheduling or Canceling: Click the "Change/Cancel Appointment" link in your confirmation email or text.
Calendar Integration: Add appointments to your personal calendar to receive reminders.
3. Logging in to View Past Bookings
If you've booked lessons before but haven’t set up an account:
Go to our scheduling page.
Click "Log in" in the top-right corner.
Enter your email and reset your password if needed.
Once logged in, click on your username > "Appointments" to see past and future bookings.
4. Downloading the Acuity Scheduling Mobile App
For easy booking on the go, download the Acuity Scheduling Client app:
For iOS (Apple) Users:
Open the App Store.
Search for Acuity Scheduling Client.
Tap Get to install.
For Android Users:
Open the Google Play Store.
Search for Acuity Scheduling Client.
Tap Install to download.
5. Adding The Band School to the App
Once the app is installed:
Open the Acuity Scheduling Client app.
Tap the + (Add Business) icon.
Scan the QR code below or enter our scheduling link: https://thebandschool.co.nz/schedule.
Tap Add Business to link our school to your app.
6. Paying for Lessons in Bulk
Acuity allows you to purchase lesson packages, which work like prepaid lesson credits. This makes it easy to pay for multiple lessons in advance and keep track of your balance.
How Lesson Packages Work:
Packages can be bought in blocks (e.g., 5 or 10 lessons at a time).
When you book a lesson, Acuity will automatically deduct a session from your package balance.
You can log into your account to see how many lessons you have left.
If your package runs out, you can purchase a new one at any time.
To check your balance:
Log into your account.
Click your username in the top-right corner.
Select Manage Codes to see your remaining lesson credits.

Q1: Do I need an account to book lessons?
No, you can book lessons without an account. However, an account makes it easier to manage and track your bookings.
Q2: Can I pay for lessons through the app?
Yes, if payments are enabled, you can pay when booking or save your card for later payments.
Q3: How do I cancel or reschedule a lesson?
Use the confirmation email/text link or log into your account to make changes.
Q4: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login page, click "Forgot your password?" and follow the instructions.

Yes, if both businesses use Acuity, you can switch between them within the app.
